WITSummer Books 2021 is officially a wrap! Every spring hundreds of donors come together to raise funds for WITS to gift books to Chicago Public Schools students and teachers. This year was no different. WITS raised over $104,000 to provide 8,000 books to students’ homes and classroom libraries. We want to thank everyone who donated and fundraised for WITS.
A huge driver of this year’s WITSummer Books success was the WITS Associates Board. Their commitment, passion, and drive to raise funds for WITS is unmatched. As a group, they raised over $35,000. To celebrate, staff, Associates Board members, and WITS’ friends came together at Parson’s Chicken and Fish – Lincoln Park on June 23rd. This culminating fundraising event raised proceeds to further support WITS. As we all have social distanced for over a year, it was a wonderful chance to reconnect with old friends and new.
