About the event

WITS Book Bash brings together Chicago’s community of supporters for a night of carnival games, cocktails, heavy bites, and celebration. Join us to raise funds to support literacy mentorship and book ownership programs.

Schedule At A Glance

  • 6:00 p.m. – Doors Open + Registration
  • 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. – Cocktails + Bites + Raffles
  • 7:30 – 8:00 p.m. – Mission Program
  • 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. – Carnival Games + Dancing

Parking & Transit

Venue West is at 221 N. Paulina St, just north of Lake Street at the corner of Paulina and Walnut. Free parking is available directly across the street (entrance off Paulina). The venue is also easily accessible by CTA via the Ashland stop (Green and Pink Lines) – Exit north, walk one block east to Paulina, then turn right.

In-Kind Donations

To help bring WITS Book Bash to life, we welcome in-kind contributions that support the guest experience and our fundraising activities throughout the evening. Benefits for in-kind sponsors include:
  • Company logo featured as an in-kind sponsor on event marketing materials, displays, and signage
  • Two (2) tickets with an in-kind value of over $2,500

Raffle Items

Help raise money by donating items for our raffle. We welcome contributions such as:
  • Gift cards and shopping experiences
  • Restaurant dining certificates
  • Hotel stays and travel packages
  • Event, concert, theatre, and sporting event
  • Spa and wellness experiences
  • Family-friendly activities and attractions

Alcohol Donations for the Bar (~300 Guests)

  • Spirits: Approximately 10-12 bottles of tequila, gin, and bourbon
  • All alcohol donations must be delivered in advance and comply with venue requirements

Premium Wine & Spirit Bottles for Raffle Game

We are also collecting bottles of wine and spirits for prizes in our interactive fundraising game, WITS Ring Toss Raffle.
  • Bottle values ranging from $50 to $500
  • Popular items include bourbon, tequila, champagne, or special edition wines
