The 5th annual blackboard affair
The pandemic has us asking “Why do we fall, Bruce?” and last night was a much-needed reminder “So that we can learn to pick ourselves up.” Thanks to all the crusaders (some of them masked!) who showed up for Working in the Schools last night at the at the Geraghty for the 5th WITS Blackboard Affair. Whether you bought a raffle ticket, raised your paddle, or simply listened to our story – thank you.
Your contribution ensures that our kindergarten students find their favorite stories in our book bins. It gives third graders the confidence to raise their hands and share an idea. It empowers CPS educators to become literacy leaders at their schools. Most of all, your contribution strengthens the entire WITS community. Whether a long-time supporter or new friend, you have made a difference, and we are grateful. Thank you for being the heroes we need… and the heroes our students deserve.
